Our downloadable games are built to run without collecting personal information about you. Our connected services — such as the Pickle ME app, which has player accounts, tournaments, friends, and chat — do need certain information to work. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights and choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Muggo Entertainment ("Muggo Entertainment", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with our websites, video games, applications, and related online services (collectively, the "Services"). We develop video games, books, and other digital media and technology, including downloadable and console games built with engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine, and connected web and mobile applications such as Pickle ME, our pickleball score-tracking and tournament app.
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our Services. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to any applicable Terms of Service or end-user license agreement governing the relevant Service.
Scope & Different Services
Our Services fall into two broad categories, and our data practices differ between them:
- Standalone games Most of our downloadable, console, and offline games are designed to run without requiring an account and without collecting personal information on our own servers. Where these games offer optional online features, they typically rely on the platform you play on (for example, Apple, Google Play, Steam, or Microsoft) rather than on systems we operate. Limited, non-identifying technical data may be processed to make the game function and to improve performance.
- Connected services (e.g., Pickle ME) Some Services require an account and are inherently social — they let you create a profile, record games, run and join tournaments, add other players, and communicate. These Services necessarily collect and store personal information, as described below.
Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on which Service you use and how you interact with it.
Information you provide to us
- Account & profile information When you create an account (for example, in Pickle ME), we collect your email address and a password, which is stored in a hashed, non-readable form by our authentication provider. Your profile may also include a display name, an optional avatar or profile image, and other optional details you choose to add, such as gender (used, for example, to organize mixed-doubles play).
- Content & activity you create We collect the information you generate when using social Services, including matches and scores you record, tournaments and organizations you create or join, player ratings (such as ELO ratings), achievements, statistics, predictions, friends and head-to-head records, and your membership in clubs or organizations.
- Tournament & event details If you organize a tournament, you may provide details such as the event name and an optional location (address, city, and state) so that participants can find it.
- Messages & communications If a Service includes chat or messaging (such as tournament and organization group chats in Pickle ME), we collect the messages, reactions, and related metadata you send. See "Communications & Chat" below.
- Reports, feedback & support If you report another player, submit feedback, or contact us for support, we collect the information you provide, which may include the reported conduct, the page or context involved, and your contact details.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & log data When you use our connected Services, our systems and infrastructure providers automatically record technical information such as sign-in timestamps and basic account activity, requests made to our servers, and similar log data used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Services.
- Device & connection data We and our service providers may process limited device and connection information — such as browser type, operating system, and IP address — for security, fraud prevention, and reliability. IP addresses are generally used transiently for these purposes and to deliver the Service.
- Cookies & local storage Our web Services use cookies and similar local-storage technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as light/dark theme), and operate the Service. See "Cookies & Local Storage" below.
Communications & Chat
Some Services let you communicate with other users in group chats tied to a specific tournament or organization. These chats are not private one-to-one direct messages; they are visible to the members of the relevant group and to that group's owner or organizer, who has moderation controls (such as muting, banning, or removing members and deleting messages).
To support safety, moderation, and dispute resolution, messages are soft-deleted rather than immediately erased — meaning a record may be retained for a period after deletion so that reports can be reviewed and an audit trail preserved. Reports you file and moderation actions taken are also logged. Please do not share sensitive personal information in chat.
Public & Shared Information
Social Services are designed for play with others, so some information is visible to other users by nature:
- Profiles Your display name and avatar are visible to other users, including in player search, match histories, tournament lobbies, leaderboards, rankings, and player cards.
- Match & tournament data Scores, results, ratings, standings, and participation in tournaments and organizations may be visible to other participants and, for public tournaments, to anyone with the relevant link or invite code.
- Group chat Messages you post are visible to other members of that tournament or organization group.
Please consider what you choose to display or post. Information you make public may be seen, copied, or re-shared by others outside our control.

How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Services — create and manage your account, run games, tournaments, ratings, leaderboards, friends, and chat.
- Personalize your experience — remember your settings and present relevant stats, matchups, and predictions.
- Maintain safety and integrity — verify accounts, prevent cheating, fraud, and abuse, enforce our terms, handle reports, and apply bans where appropriate.
- Communicate with you — send service-related messages such as account verification, password resets, confirmations, and notifications.
- Improve and develop — understand how the Services are used so we can fix problems and improve features and performance.
- Comply with law — meet our legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
Legal bases (for EEA/UK users)
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Services you request); our legitimate interests (to secure, improve, and operate the Services in ways you would reasonably expect); consent (where we ask for it, which you may withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as described below:
- Other users As described in "Public & Shared Information" and "Communications & Chat", certain information is shared with other players, organizers, and group members as an inherent part of social play.
- Service providers We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf to run the Services — for example, our database, authentication, and hosting providers. They are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Platforms & integrations When you use our games through a platform (such as Apple, Google Play, Steam, or Microsoft) or engine-level services (such as Unity or Unreal Engine), those parties handle data under their own privacy policies.
- Legal & safety We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Muggo Entertainment, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Services
Our Services rely on, integrate with, or link to third-party services, including:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and real-time infrastructure for our connected apps.
- Hosting & infrastructure providers — for serving our websites and applications and delivering email such as verification and password-reset messages.
- Game engines & platforms — such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Apple, Steam, Google Play, and Microsoft.
- Mapping links — tournament locations may link to a third-party maps service (such as Google Maps) when you choose to open them.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you interact with.
Cookies & Local Storage
Our web Services use cookies and browser local storage that are strictly necessary to keep you authenticated, maintain your session, and remember preferences such as your display theme. Because these technologies are essential to providing the Service, disabling them may prevent the Service from functioning. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and thereafter as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain safety and integrity records.
- Account deletion When you delete your account, we soft-delete it and retain associated data for a limited recovery and safety window (currently 90 days), after which eligible personal data is permanently purged from our active systems.
- Chat & moderation Messages and moderation records may be retained beyond deletion to preserve an audit trail for safety and dispute resolution, as described above.
- Safety records Limited information may be retained where necessary to enforce bans and prevent prohibited users from re-registering.
Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information: the right to access the data we hold, to correct inaccurate data, to request deletion, to port your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- In-app controls You can review and update your profile information, and delete your account, directly within the relevant Service (for example, in Pickle ME's account settings).
- California residents Under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
- EEA/UK residents You may exercise your GDPR rights as described above and have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit, hashed password storage, and database-level access controls that restrict each user's data to that user and authorized parties. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Data Transfers
We operate from the United States, and our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries. If you access the Services from outside these countries, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Children's Privacy
Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children. We do not create games or services specifically for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, which may be higher, such as 16 in parts of the EEA/UK). Accounts for connected Services such as Pickle ME are intended for users who meet this minimum age. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child below the applicable age without proper consent, we will take steps to delete it. Parents or guardians with concerns may contact us using the details below.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may be communicated through the Services. Your continued use of the Services after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Muggo Entertainment shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the Services or any third-party services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits any rights you may have under applicable data-protection law that cannot be lawfully limited.
Governing Law
This Privacy Policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute not subject to arbitration shall be the state or federal courts located in Utah, except where mandatory local consumer or data-protection laws grant you rights or a forum in your own jurisdiction.
